He's not a conservative

Perhaps that's why he can't wait to debate taxes:

John McCain says he looks forward to debating taxes with Barack Obama, assuming the Illinois senator is the Democratic presidential nominee.

Of course even a socialist like McCain looks good compared to Obama.
